The origins of Bingo game started hundreds of years before the online bingo was invented. Bingo can be regarded as the game that is similar to the “Lo Giuoco Code Loto” game of 1530, played in the casinos of Spain. “Lo Giuoco Code Loto” is a lottery game. By the 18th century, as the game has become matured, and the cards for playing, the tokens and number reading has been included in the game, played in France. In 19th century, for the purpose of providing educational training concerning names of animals, table of multiplication and spellings for the children, Bingo gaming is used.

There had been a carnival of traveling in 1929 in the city of Atlanta where people used to play Beano with rubber stamp, cardboard sheets and dried beans. The game was keenly watched by Edwin Lowe, and he noticed the extreme interest and involvement of players in such game. At 3 am, the players were forcibly kicked out by the workers of carnival so that others will also get a chance. Lowe introduced the Beano game to all of his friends as he took the idea with him towards New York.

The game of bingo was conducted by him to everyone he had witnessed during those days with the use of a rubber stamp inclined with some numbers, a cardboard and some dried beans. The game was loved and appreciated by his friends.

The history of bingo gaming was made by one of the friends of Lowe when he yelled out the word ‘bingo’ instead of ‘beano’ as he was far excited due to have won in a particular game of bingo. There are two versions of the bingo game of Lowe i.e. first is the set of 12 cards for 1 dollar and the second is the set of 24 cards for 2 dollars. A wild success had attained by the game bingo and it had spread all around the country by the 1940s. There were many competitors of Lowe at that time and he asked them for conducting the game @ 1 dollar per year with the use of the name bingo.
